Peni opened Pet Stylista in Oak Park in November 2013. A graduate in Design from UC Davis and a 23-year career as an interior designer, Peni brought her artistic bend to her grooming business. Professionally trained at the NY School of Dog Grooming in Manhattan, New York, Peni started her grooming career on the Upper East Side before returning to her hometown of Sacramento.
Peni and Pet Stylista support many local pet rescues and charities. Peni has a long time tradition of dedication to rescue. While working in the Middle East for six years, she spent most of her free time with a small grassroots animal rescue group where she discovered her love of dogs and cats. Through rescue, fostering, boarding and adopting, Peni learned much about pets.

Great experience for my senior cat, the groomer was gentle, caring & patient. My experience was great! My cat was treated gently handled which is important because she's 18 almost 19 years old with arthritis. I am very happy with the services. The groomer was so helpful in sharing info/tips with me so I can better care for my cats fur coat, she even took time to shoe me & explain these tips/tricks. 5 stars!

They did a great job clipping the nail of my shy/ aggressive little dog. A touch shaming that I hadn't gotten them done before (despite my many attempts at home) and guilting that I need to return monthly. Could have been stated without the moral overtones, other than that well pleased and will return.
